HOTEL TIFFANY
In October ’99 Tiffany expanded to 46 rooms adding 16 doubles and two suites. Reception was redone with comfy couches and mahogany paneling to match the cozy bar. All rooms have modem connections, CNN, terry robes, hair dryers, and, yes, the showers are still great. The colorful belle époque decor appealingly combines with contemporary design. The hotel’s near Geneva’s Grand Théâtre, just a short walk to ‘Old Town’ or anywhere.

HOTEL LONDRA PALACE
The 100 windows of the elegant Londra Palace have been giving guests glittering views of Venice's lagoon for over 140 years. In the 8th arrondissement, the Lavoisier with its sparkling white facade opened in ’99 by Lucie Agaut and Michel Bouvier. As you walk into the sunny reception your welcome equals the atmosphere in this very American-friendly hotel. Fresh flowers are brought round by Mme Agaut and the 30 rooms are tastefully decorated in strong but subtly bright colors have marble baths, internet, French doors opening to the street below, and a pleasing mixture of antiques and contemporary furnishings. Their ‘honor’ bar is in the library and fresh squeezed orange juice is served along with a delicious croissant breakfast - truly a rarity in Europe!
